COMPLEMENTARY USES BUILDING

The project is sited in Buenos Aires, in the university campus of the University of Buenos Aires. The campus and faculties lack spaces for student studies and personal intercourse. The aim of this building is to supply the campus with the different uses that are missing. The project consists of three autonomous cubes connected by a platform that generates two terraces on the first floor. Each cube has a specific orientation and sun protection technology in the facade according to its program. The interstitial space in between cubes is an outdoor quality space because is wind repaired by the same volumes. These terraces on the platform function as an expansion of the program of each cube, making it possible for the students to work in connection with the nature or read a book from the library with a river view.
